elegant wedding at the Hotel Belmond
The post for today is a pure elegant wedding at the Hotel Belmond.
The Hotel Belmond is located in Villa San Michele, which used to be a monastery during the Renaissance. It is one of Italy’s finest boutique hotels, surrounded by lush foliage, classical gardens, and exceptional views of Florence—the absolute must-have destination for an intimate wedding.
Hailing all the way from New York, the bride and the groom, Kathleen and Guillarme, were wed on August 31st, surrounded by 70 of their closest friends and family.
The style was elegant. The flowers used during the ceremony were white phalaenopsis orchids. To emphasize the clean and elegant décor, I displayed the orchids in glass vases cylinders on both sides at the church entrance, the altar and on the balustrades. I wanted the church to speak for its own beauty, only to be enhanced by the delicate white flowers. Isn’t the light from the grand chandelier just immaculate?
After the ceremony the reception was held in an Italian-style garden, bursting with lemon trees and fragrant roses. For the centerpieces I used Playa Blanca and Pink Mondial roses, which added just a touch of color to the marvelously white wedding. A generous number of candles and delicate string lights blanketed the evening in warm illumination.
Everyone was blown away by the gorgeous Hotel Belmond and it’s beautiful landscape, but most of all by the love Kathleen and Guillarme have for each other. Please enjoy the photography by Alessia Franco of David Bastianoni team.
